sheesh

Sulky managers make my brain hurt. Petty managers want to make me yell grow up and act your age. When the two are combined into one, aka my accounting manager who is still sulking because she got in trouble for doing something she shouldn't and was caught by our oversight bureau, I just want to hide. And I did. For my whole shift. I hate not being able to come out of the surveillance room because I don't know what kind of mood the managers are in and just don't want to have to deal with their attitudes.

At least I was able to spend most of the day rewriting the novella. I'll put up a short teaser tomorrow.

For now, however, I'm absolutely dead to the world sleepy and thinking about going to bed. Or at least doing something mindless like watching a movie. Here's a pic from work - yes, that is my workplace in the background - that shows just how screwed up the whole building is.

It's been like that for four months and no one has said a word.

One of the games we have in the bowling alley is pull tabs. And there are several employees addicted to these things. This is the sign hanging up on every machine. (one of them was loose, so this was actually taken in the surveillance room)

The saddest part is, I've pointed out the typo/mistake to several people - including the one who made the sign in the first place - and their response is either "what's wrong" or "it's close enough". My only thought on the matter is, seriously??

This one is on the kitchen entrance at work.

There are days I'm really embarrassed to work for this place. The sign I have for tomorrow's post just further illustrates my point.

Ro's sister has a garden gnome that travels everywhere with her. I can't list everywhere it's been, but Mexico, Africa, England (with Ro and me) and around the US comes instantly to mind. We've even been asked if it's the travelocity gnome, which is funny. I think Tina even has a web page set up for him, or she did at one point. Ro?
Anyway, this was in downtown Pullman at one of the flower shops I had to pass to pick up the pizza on Thursday.

So, not really a sign, but not really strange either. Just cute.

I thought this one was cuter before the added the top sign, but I wasn't able to get a picture of it then. *sighs*

new idea

I've been talking about a new actor I really like - Shindo Gaku - and am going to steal an idea from his blog. It won't be as cool as his because I live in a college town/farming area and he's in Tokyo, but any time I see a cute or funny sign or something crazy, I'm going to post a picture of it on here.

Starting with this one. This is a hotel in Pullman that I have to drive by every day on my way into work. I finally had time to stop and snap a picture of the sign they have up.

I'm all for cookies, but who the hell wants fresh baked milk every night???????

And, if any of you are curious, and don't mind TONS of pictures of coffee cups - no I'm not kidding - here's the link to Shindo-san's blog. He's got some neat pics up there.

I like any pic of him, but the solar eclipse is really cool and some of the nature shots. But a lot of food and coffee cups too. Again, totally not kidding here.
