convention 5 with pics

lexxiescottI found out today that it doesn't matter how obsessed Ro is with something/one, she will still get all fidgety when she has to sit through anything over about fifteen minutes. We went back to see Johnny Yong Bosch today - he did a second pannel - and halfway through I looked over and saw that Ro was texting. *sighs* I tried to take the phone away from her, but she wouldn't give it up. But the pannel, and his concert, were the only two things on our list of events for the day. I wouldn't say that things are winding down, but they seem to be. I kinda like the smaller size of this convention compared to the one we went to in Portland last fall, but at the same time, there are fewer events which leads to more time in the hotel room.
Now, granted, I am working on an Fuji-Niou-Yagyuu-Yukimura fic at the moment so the writing time would be great if I could actually focus long enough to do anything with it. I've spent most of my free time downloading actor photobooks (kawaii) and yaoi movies. Those I have to make sure my Mum never sees. My dad I'm not so worried about because he's not up to date with computers and I think he'd be puzzled by a media player in the first place.
Okay, so, pics. This is Johnny and Maurice at the concert. It was pretty cool because he invited everyone to come down onto the floor and sit rather than being up in the bleachers/stands so we were like a body length and a half away from them. And he did mainly improv songs, which were just too funny.
Of course Ro, with the camera, was closer than I was to the stage.
This is one of the coolest costumes at the convention. Evil Rukia from one of the Bleach movies.
And this one made us both laugh, not because of the costume, but because I was trying to stay out of it. Look in the back behind Gaara.
We've talked about it a bit and have decided to become firm PoT cosplayers. Mainly because the show is awesome and the characters rock, but also because the costumes are easy and there don't seem to be as many wild stalkers around for the characters. *grins* She just can't decide on a team. I'm going to be Niou or maybe Yagyuu as Niou - I haven't decided yet. Puri. And we're talking about doing a skit next year too. We'll have to see how that goes.

Rudolph-uniform. (Atsushi~) And I wanna cosplay Kaidoh and-and-- And I might cosplay Akutsu some time (tho not at any convention, probably) And then more... *dies* But I so love 'em~

How do you pick just one character?? Ro and I want to do the live play competition next year. I'll be either Niou or Yagyuu as Niou and told her she needs to pick a team/character so I can write the skit for us. I've got some ideas, but need her to make a choice.
And I'd love to play Fuji or Inui. And Akaya. Sanada. Oh, hell with it, Rikkai.

Ahh, that IS the most trouble some part, isn't it? Me and sis figured that in the ned, we're going to have uniforms from all the schools.. ^^; I don't mind, cuz I'm going to use it for casual clothes as well, but.. well, Our clost's gonna be filled with almost nothing but cosplay...
Make sure someone records the skit later, k?
I'd be Inui just to be able to poison people XD It would be awesome. =3 We're trying to convince a friend in our cosplay-group to be Niou, but we have to get her to watch PoT as well. Though it wouldn't be the first time she'd be made cosplaying some character she doesn't know...Did she know ANY of the characters she's cosplayed before we made her cosplay them, I wonder?
btw, me and sis had a little spur-of-the-moment photoshoot in our garden yesterday. I was Ibu and she was Bunta. It was fun XD And that was only because she craved for cupcakes.. She ate about half of the ones she made while she was in Bunta-cosplay. I'll post the pictures later~

Date: 2010-06-15 07:15 am (UTC)I know. I'm thinking I'm just going to get the Seigaku uniform as well and have them both at conventions with wigs/styling gel for characters. My hair color/type could be gelled into Tezuka or Fuji really easily and if I get the right wig then I'd be able to style it for Yanagi/Akaya. Spray dye for Yukimura. *snickers* I think Ro would kill me if I dared play her fav character.
I'm trying to work on Niou's attitude right now. And people have noticed too, which I think is really cool. They just don't know why. *grins* And I've been wearing the Rikkai jacket every day. Mum hates it, but doesn't say anything other than I look like a big bee or it's weird to see me in color. I kinda live in black most of the time.
I will. If nothing else, I'll make Ro record the practice sessions before I/we go. I've got a really cute idea, but I need her as Eiji to make it work. Let's just say that my idea for Niou is a little evil. puri.
Oh, how fun. I'm going to have to try and make cupcakes with honey this summer. The diabetic diet sucks, but I do have to say I feel better being on it. I do wish there were more people in the area interested in cosplay. One other co-worker is, but not for PoT.
I can't wait to see the pics. That's kawaii.

Practice on~ I'd never be able to cosplay Niou because of his personality... I'm apparently tsundere, too.. But there are others, that're easier for me.
I can't help but agree that it's possible that the Rikkai-uniform is a little ..bee-ishi...
Then if you feel better by it, you should continue with it.
Around us, it's me and sis. We live at the countryside with not many people around us (especially not around our age) ... You should try to get your co-worker interested in cosplaying PoT then XD Or you can do as we did to get Ren to cosplay. "You're Allen!" "..who's Allen..?" She's as much into D.Gray-Man as we are now, and other series too. She says it's our fault that she's not invisible anymore.

lol, a co-worker said wasp rather than bee because of my personality at work. But I do think he was kidding.
The problem is that there's not a lot of screen time for Niou in the anime. I'm working off of how Masa-kun plays him and I have a feeling that only half of the attitude on the stage is really Niou. :)
I guess I could try. Tell him to be Jin or someone like that because he's really violent. (like wanting a taser to use on the customers and knifing people. but that's just how he is) I don't know who he'd be good as, actually. I'll have to think about that.

Date: 2010-06-30 10:39 am (UTC)We (all students at our school) are called trolls by the students from our rival-school Risbergska. And since they're pigs (the nickname of their school is Grisbergska, gris means pig) I find it amusing that in that case, we can eat them if we want.
He's got realy little screentime. I know, though, that he and Yagyuu're gonna be in a new special episode at Fuji's and Yuuta's Memorial Match-dvd. On one of the ((tiny)) preview-pictures, Niou's wearing a vampire-costume XD
Then I think he'd be quite good as Akutsu. *grin* Go try that.
