I don't swear, much, and there are certain words I avoid at all costs. Shut up, Ro, and I never said it. *grin* But there is one four letter word I am definately putting in the totally foul category.
SNOW.
I hate it. We had our first snow storm today, just a light dusting but when I just glanced out into the darkness I could see it is still falling by the light of the street lamp on the corner. My mum told me the schools are already talking about closing down. And they made my class go regardless of what the weather was doing. I remember wading through at least three feet of snow most winters and even being dragged out in our PE uniforms to run around the track. Evil phys. ed teachers here. :)
So only seven months to go until we get nice weather again.

And here was me thinking I'm the only one hating the upcoming snow season.

It *barely* snows here, but even the tiniest bit aggravates my knees. And ice? Even worse.

It's about 44 degrees Fahrenheit so far here, and my toes already feel like I've re-broken them, its too bloody cold.

I had medical notes for PE throughout school. With the exception of trampolining sessions I missed 95% of my PE lessons.

PS: I've started transferring all your fiction into word docs for my phone. But I'm stuck. What stories fit into your "I Swear" universe? And what order?

O God,
The snow already?
But where are you from? In Italy is difficoult to see the snow, expecially in Florence where I live even if Tuscany is in the middle of the Nation. And not so far away from the northern part where is possible to have snow in winter, but not so early.
I Saw th snow in NY when I was there last year but in december or jenaury...
I'm shocked.
Good luck and be happy writing usually the time goes faster

I think your phys ed instructor is realated to mine, he would do the same thing to us when I was in highschool, "do ten laps around this field, never mind the snow and the fact that your dressed in t-shirts and shorts, and runers". Yes that white slushie, cold, stuff, isdefinatly a bad word. Seven mounthes and definatly counting.

Mine, in my first ever PE lesson at secondary school, had me standing outside in the freezing cold and torrential rain, wearing my skirt, jumper and shirt, on crutches with a broken foot. For an hour. It'd only been broken a week and a half before.

And that sums up my 5 years of PE lessons.

The PE instructor was never quite that cruel, he just kind of ignored us if we were injured. Actually his worst sin was the abundance of Vollyball he made us play. Also the fact that it didn't matter how bad the cold or snow got we had to go outside, though playing soccor in the snow was fun. My track coach would assign us to events, we had no say, and she put in 25 meter after she knew I had seriously damaged my leg the day before in the long jump, but thankfully there was no snow involved there.

If you have a broken leg then your pe instructor should have let you sit inside that is just cruel, it's not like you could do anything. And this is why I believe that Physed should be a) banned or b) optional.

Actually I'm surprised the snow has held off this long usually it snows on Halloween (or a week or so before). Though I'm told that the snow has been on the ground for awhile back home. Argh, well actually I dislike the snow I HATE the cold, and the heavy jackets and the boots and the darn itchey touces.

And the thought that there is more then one of my phys ed instructor is truely frightening (shudders).

Yes we should everyone on our friends pages affected by the snow should help us with a day by day countdown to Spring.

(Oh and when can I expect another chappie for Seeing Death Finding Love, I'm suffering withdrawl).

Winter

Try living here in Missouri. We never know what we're getting until we get it. the "wait five minutes and the weather will change" must have come from these hills. :) In January we had a sudden Ice storm after months of mild cold weather that took out over half our trees and all the electric for days, some were without electric for over two weeks. There was not a generator to be found in the whole state! The colleges here only have one rule:class continues unless the Teacher cancels it. So 20 feet of snow and 20 miles, so what! If the teacher makes it in then you can too. Our PE teacher let us wear sweats but we still had to play inseason games outside.
