Leigh again. This one was actually easy because all I had to do was think how I felt in London.
Oh yeah, she's nineteen in this one.
As she stood on the platform waiting for the tube to King’s Cross, a solid warm weight on either side of her in Alex and Charlie, Leigh closed her eyes and used her other senses for a moment. She could hear the traffic on the High Street as it wasn’t an enclosed or underground station, the unique smells wafting to her nose and making her smile. The soft murmur of voices around her, accented and more natural to her ear than what she heard every day at home in Quantico. The sound were eclipsed by a soft roar that grew until the train pulled into the platform and the doors opened with a soft, warm hiss.
Leigh led the way onto one of the back, less crowded cars where she knew she’d be able to see out the window. She wanted to see each Tube station as they passed, relive memories from the places around them until their reached their destination. Feeling a bit like a little kid, Leigh knelt backwards in one of the blue and orange seats, Alex close by to help steady her, and stared out the window. Notting Hill Gate, Bayswater, Paddington, Baker Street and the zoo. Then King’s Cross/St. Pancras with the shiny white tiles and the long winding halls. Leigh smiled to herself as she stepped out onto Euston Road and turned towards the library. She was finally home.
