i wonder

so, i've had two "i wonder" moments in the past two days and guess i should share, if only to see what everyone else thinks.

1) WSGC WAC/RCW codes state that all fills going from the cage to the table must be tracked with a PTZ camera. only one of our PTZ cameras is recording at the moment - i don't know - and it's too old and slow to track fills with. so if there's no way to tell if a fill is being tracked, does it, indeed, need to be tracked? yes, i actually sat and thought about this for a full 10 minutes at work yesterday.

2) I wonder who would be the more snarly/sarcastic one. Who would win an argument between Dr. Greg House and Professor Severus Snape? just the mental image has me in giggles.

** there's a severe weather system on the way in. don't talk to me about fibro symptoms and flares. so i might not even be on the computer when i get home. not that i've been on chat and social the past few days anyway....

blech

i don't know if there's something coming our way with a weather system or if i'm getting sick, but my tummy hurts too bad to sit up at the computer tonight. i'm going to go lie down and read, i guess. *sighs* i really wanted to try to get to 60,000 words in my personal challenge, but, oh well. i'll stand at last night's number and post a final word total when it's finished.

nina does have a bladder infection. she finally gave in and used the sandless sand box at 0630 this morning. i pick up her meds tomorrow and we go from there. i just wish my mother would quit lecturing. she's totally missing a point here, i rather suspect on purpose, because she has tunnel vision.

COLD

Seriously, I have never in my life been in weather so cold that my eyes were trying to freeze shut. It's minus 9F outside and I'm really hoping that's the lowest it will get, but I have a feeling tomorrow is only going to be worse. The only plus side to it is that there's no snow here when it gets this cold.
*shivers*
I'm still thawing out. So I'm going to go read my new jpop magazines and warm up looking at all the cute/hot boys that are awaiting me.

weather

You shouldn't have to wear a scarf in August. You just shouldn't. :( I think this means winter is going to get her earlier than normal this year. I've already started getting weather sick. It sucks. But happiness is the new Furukawa Yuuta CD. It'll be fun to listen to at work tonight.

The problem with not swearing....

You don't know any good swear words when something bad happens to you. We've been getting hit with snow for the past few days and it's been warming up just enough to melt a little between storms and then freezing again when the next storm hits. Yeah, there is a point to this. My folks left for Mexico which means I have the dogs for a day or two until they go to the sitters house. When we went out for the evening walk tonight they just ran down the stairs and off down the driveway. I didn't realize that there was a patch of black ice at the foot of the stairs and slipped, landing on my bad knee. There's where the lack of good swear words comes into play. All I could think of was "god damn son of a building block." My best friend knows all the really good and creative swear words and won't teach them to me. ;) The most amusing part of this was that my best friend fell down her brother's stairs three days ago. She just commented that we make quite the pair.

Four letter word

I don't swear, much, and there are certain words I avoid at all costs. Shut up, Ro, and I never said it. *grin* But there is one four letter word I am definately putting in the totally foul category.
SNOW.
I hate it. We had our first snow storm today, just a light dusting but when I just glanced out into the darkness I could see it is still falling by the light of the street lamp on the corner. My mum told me the schools are already talking about closing down. And they made my class go regardless of what the weather was doing. I remember wading through at least three feet of snow most winters and even being dragged out in our PE uniforms to run around the track. Evil phys. ed teachers here. :)
So only seven months to go until we get nice weather again.
