Hey all, I'm still updating my stories, I've just stopped doing the daily posts listing out what I'm updating because it didn't seem like anyone was using them. If you were, let me know and I can start up again. I'm still rotating through my WIPs and trying to get them completed before starting up sequels. If you're curious what I've still got to finish, go to the wips tag here on my journal and click on the first entry there. That's everything and I'm working hard to keep it up to date.

The archives I post on are:

AO3 as TiffanyF

CSI Forensics From out of the Lab as Tiffany F

WWOMB as Tiffany F

This is more for my reference than anything else, but I figure it cannot hurt to have it around.

I give up on how many stories are listed as WIPs. Of course, I've got ideas for other fics and I'm going to slowly start writing them as I finish pieces here. There's at least one Avengers piece I want to write and I'm determined to try and finish season 10 of CSI: Miami, if only for my own piece of mind, seeing as we'll never know how the writers were going to tie everything together. *die CBS network executives die*

Again, thank you everyone. *hugs*
lexxiescott: (dragon bunny)
As of 2015 PDT today, The Dragon Chronicles have been finished. Talk about a very bittersweet time for me. I've been working on this series for seven years. Part of me is thrilled I was able to keep it going for so long and bring it to a logical, happy conclusion. Part of me is freaking out because I don't know what to work on next, and part of me just wants to go to sleep. lol. Might have to listen to that last part.

As I said at the end of the story, to everyone who has been with me for the whole ride, new readers, old friend; folks who did fan art, icons *points* or stories of their own in this universe, THANK YOU. I don't know that I would have had the energy to continue with this story for as long as I did without all of you. I really hope you enjoy the ending I created for the story. I realize that there's still dragons on Earth and folks want to know about them, but I'm going to take a break from this universe to work on some other WIPs for a while. I might come back to this one some day. As always, watch the journal. It's the best place for news on my writing.

*hugs you all*

I'll do a statistics post for this series tomorrow.
lexxiescott: (not afraid plot bunnies)
First of all, High Stakes has a new chapter. I still don't know how many more this one will have, but I'm thinking around five, maybe six. We'll have to see.

I have two ideas for the "Lease Expect" universe. One of them is set way far ahead of what I've been working on, but I want to write it out. The other, if I'm right on where my timing is, will fit in with the storyline as is. So look for both of those later today. I'm at work, it's graduation day for the local university so, if we're going to have play, it won't be until late. I'm here until 2100 PDT and will be writing as much as I can. Anything I don't finish today will be finished tomorrow.

Edit at 1919: First new story is called "Shot to the Light." It's up on two of the archives. WWOMB is being slow about loading, again. How many people still read there????

Edit at 2035: Part Five of Look where you least Expect is up on the archives, or will be once WWOMB loads. *sighs*

CSI: Miami

lexxiescott: (on noes)
Yes, I probably should have used my Horatio icon, but considering how many plot bunnies I have after marathoning season 9 over the past two days, I think the icon works. *grins* I'll probably get through season 10 on my next weekend and am looking forward to that. I'm not making promises, because ideas are fickle, but I might be able to update some more stories here as well.

As it stands, I just uploaded a new crossover piece called "Arrow" to all three archives. It's  CSI: Miami/Avengers crossover. Not my best work ever, but it's only meant to be getting me back into writing. If I do the same on these other pieces, then I'm going to be pissy at myself. So, keep an eye on the archives. I'll do an update post when I'm done writing for the day, but thought I'd share this much right now.

Please, do feel free to ignore if you want to. I wish lj had a way to see how many people actually read your posts. That would make my life so much easier.

TDC talk

Jul. 3rd, 2012 12:22 pm
lexxiescott: (plot bunny disobedient)
i haven't been idle. i do have a new chapter for TDC. but i've been wondering. should i post them as i write them and leave you hanging the long spaces between chapters - as i'm still working things out - or just let you know i'm still working on it and post all the last chapters as a group once i have them done? i'll post the one today and warn you now that it'll leave you with a lot of questions. but the debate is for the next chapters. i have my list and i have some slight idea of where i'm going. but i'm still not sure exactly what i'm going to do with a lot of things.

thanks for being so patient with me. :)

TDC

lexxiescott: (plot bunnies 2)
ok, so i just finished reading all 288 chapters of TDC and have to say i'm amazed there are so few loose ends that need to be tied up. as far as i can tell, there's three major story lines that need to be wrapped up.

1) England dragons (which i had not forgotten about)

2) Fire bombs at NCIS

3) Bombings in Miami

linked into these are the Yellow-eyed demon if i want to bring him back from hell, what's going on with John Winchester and Alan Eppes, and Gil and Nick. i suppose i should also be nice and tell you who wins the tennis matches too, but those are in second place.
i have names picked out for the twins and a little written already on a new chapter. i might write tonight or i might wait and think on this while i work on High Stakes. i don't know, but i'll let you know what posts next.
lexxiescott: (plot bunnies 2)
1) I'm not going to apologize for the RL posts. But I am sorry if you're only here for fan fiction updates and have to put up with all my other......well, oddities. At least you can see why things don't get updated as often as I would like them to.

2) I've decided that, as I'm finishing High Stakes, that I'm going to turn it into an original piece. Impossible, maybe, but with Peter and Allwyn there's so much more to the backstory that I want to explore and I think this is a way to do it. I won't abandon the project and I am working on a new chapter now. More Peter loves because, well, I love Peter. :)

3) I've started rereading TDC, and am cringing at all the mistakes in plot I'm finding. I won't pull everything and I don't have the time to rewrite it right now, but if I'm able to stay on a moderate schedule, I should be able to finish the story by fall. (note that there's a wedding, a trip, a convention and a conference in my summer which might throw the timeline a little, not to mention a possible cross-country move with my family). But I would like to wrap things up neatly and I've been working on this story for six years. I do promise not to hurry things along just to finish it up. I will tie up every loose end and end every plot twist. I just don't promise to do so in a way that will make 100% of my readers happy.

4) When I finish High Stakes, or get to a point where I want to break from it for a while, I'll post a poll on which story (OTHER THAN TDC) readers want to see worked on next. I realize that 95% of you are here for TDC, but see above. It needs a lot of time and work right now.

5) Thank you everyone for being so patient an considerate. It means a lot to me and I really, really appreciate it. I'll do my best to keep the stories coming. :)
lexxiescott: (Horatio lieutenant)
i'm at work on my iPod, so i don't have my list of WIPs in front of me, but i'm curious about something. a couple of weeks to a month back i wrote that new CSI Miami one-shot and received one review from a very loyal reader. *hugs her* on one site there was a little over 200 reads on the story. i know my focus has been mainly on my original works and trying to break into the publishing industry (i'm going to get a skeleton key one of these days) so i'm curious how many folks are still around in the fandoms and are waiting very patiently (thank you!) for me to finish stories.
what brought this up is i've been thinking about one of my WIPs and how i might start an update for the chapter. the problem being i know it's going to piss people off and drive away readers even though it'll work well and fit the story nicely. writing is not a plase everyone industry and i know holding out for universal popularity will never work.

so, not listing which stories you want me to finish, could you just let me know if you're still around??
lexxiescott: (plot bunny disobedient)
i'm not doing the month novel writing challenge, i have way too much started that needs to be finished or revised to do that, but i thought it might be okay to modify the challenge a little. i'm going to try and do a 50,000 word revisal of my first novel. if i get it done, great, if i get another project done, that'll be awesome too, but i'm going to make it a point to write every day this month. *grins* no matter how sleepy i am when i get home from work.

don't worry, i won't stop updating my two in process fics (TDC and Breaking Life) that i'm working on as well. i almost have a new chapter of BL ready to go. time to find out what Oishi said to Eiji.
lexxiescott: (dragon bunny)
please don't panic, this is a good announcement. *grins* at least i think it is. i've decided it's time to get back to the grind and wrap up this story. so my question for you all is this: what loose ends do you see out there that need to be taken care of? i have a page of notes sitting next to me that have as much as i can think of on it. but i'm curious to see what you guys see as needing to be wrapped up as well.

obviously Miami is a huge point and that's where i'm going to start with the updates. there's a madness to my method here and i think it'll make sense when you see what i've done. obviously there's more deaths to come, but i think this will be the last batch - barring flames of course. i still stand by what i said last time on that one. so please, comment and let me know what you want to see talked about in the story. if it's not on my list, i'll add it on. if it is, i'll make a star next to it to remind myself that there's something there.

i'm not going to guess how long it'll take me to do this. i've got about 20 other projects going on as well, however, this is a large story arc and i've been working on it for years. i'm not going to just leave things hanging. and i think i've still got a few surprises in store for folks. i really hope you'll stay with me and finish out the story. i hope it's gonna be worth it for you.
lexxiescott: (fav characters)
can you all give me your three favorite PoT pairings by, let's say Halloween? i'm plotting something. =^.^=

(and no, it's nothing bad)
lexxiescott: (Default)
I can always tell when there is about to be a big change in the weather. There are days I wish I could be surprised by the weather, but just live with it. It does mean, however, that I'm not likely to be on chat until wednesday for movie night. And I will be posting another reminder note.

Perky, I got the bears ordered and they will be in the mail in a day or so. As soon as I get them, I'll box everything together and get it to you. :) I hope you can handle so many rikkai guys together *snickers*

I'm planning to work on some fics the next couple of days. They're some of my procedurals not anime based ones, so keep an eye here for updates. There's one I think I'll have finished tomorrow night if everything goes right. But with me, who knows. ;)

And I'm debating dipping into my summer savings fund for some Hiro-Kim CDs. I will probably end up doing it. There are so Manu projects he's been involved in that it's impossible to think I'll have everything before the end of the year. It gets expensive afterall.
lexxiescott: (rikkai dai)
I went onto WWOMB and created a series just for all of my PoT pieces.
http://www.squidge.org/~peja/cgi-bin/series.php?seriesid=844
I posted it to a community I belong to as well. I think it's time I start sharing these with everyone, ne?
lexxiescott: (eiji neko happy)
The photobook pics were taken with my cell phone. I don't have a scanner, so I do apologize for the glare in a couple of them. Masa is so cute.

I only watched about the first ten minutes of the musical and just sat there going "sugoi" over and over again. It's amazing. Hell, it's beyond amazing. I'm having issues with the rip though. When I put the disc into my mac to watch it - that's my region 2 player - it said skipping damaged area, so I might not be able to rip for a while. I'm working on it though and won't give up.

Thought I'd share a couple of pics I took of the most recent snow fall. We're starting to warm up a little, thank heavens. 3F is just too cold.

snowy pics here )

And there's supposed to be more coming in the next week. Makes me very glad I'm heading south for a break. :)

I finished one of my Christmas challenge fics and pissed Ro off at the same time. I'll get it typed up slowly and post it in the next couple of hours. One handed typing sucks yeggs. *Grins* Still, have to get back into it sometime.
