Has Ghost Adventures influenced you in any way. Why or why not?

How shall we count the ways? I guess the main one is the novel series I got out of one line from Zak when they were in England, even if the characters took over and told a completely different story than the one I had in mind. I've started trying to research who the little ghost girl I saw in my closet as a child was. I don't know that I'll ever know for sure, but I've got the names of the families that used to live in the house, and that's a start.

I don't want to go out and investigate ghosts, but it's been nice to know that my feeling them around me isn't my imagination. I've been told so many times that it is, it gets a bit annoying after a while.

Do you prefer Paranormal Challenge or Ghost Adventures? Why?

Ghost Adventures. Mainly because I've never been able to catch Paranormal Challenge on Travel Channel. Maybe one of these days I'll see it.

The tables are turned. If you were a ghost, what would you say and/or do to Zak, Nick, and Aaron?

Okay, well, I have to be honest that my first instinct would be to....

But to all three of them. gefufufufuuuuuu.

Pick a theme song for each of the guys and include the title, artist, and some lyrics

This was an interesting one because I really only listen to J-Pop these days. I thought about a group theme of "Ore-sama no bigi ni yoi na" but worried something might get lost in translation. So I hit up a lyric page I've used in the past and managed to find a song that fits each guy.

If you were on a lockdown with the GAC where would you go? Describe in details what would happen.

I think it would be fun to investigate at Zeppoz. There's a ghost there that I know of four times he's manifested as a shadow figure, and at least three times when he moved something. Granted, those three times were screwing around with Rosie, so I don't know if he's attached to her or not, but that's a lot of energy for a spirit to be using. The problem would be getting in there because Nash totally doesn't believe the place is haunted, no matter what his employees tell him. *sighs*

It would have to be on a major holiday, so to give us the most night, let's say Christmas eve. Yeah, it sucks yeggs, but that's one of the few nights when the place is shut down completely and there wouldn't be anyone around to screw up the investigation. Base station would be in the employee break room, because that's where there's the least activity in the building. I'd suggest X-cameras in the two bathrooms, the bar, behind the lanes pointing at the machine for lane 13, and one outside the surveillance room door. It's a small building, so splitting up wouldn't make much sense. EVPs taken in the areas where there's been ghost sitings.

I don't know if we'd get anything or not, the ghost really doesn't like people in his space, but I have a feeling that Zak would be able to get him to talk. *grins*

Which of the guys would you rather be locked down with and why?

And not just because he's my favorite of the crew. Aaron gets awesome evidence whenever he's alone (being bait) but he's also the least likely to provoke the spirits. I'd rather not have pissed off ghosts hanging around if I could avoid it.

Favorite guest investigator

Bill Chappell. This man brings the best new toys to the lockdowns. He just tweeted that he's found a way to see EVPs. I'm guessing that means as they're captured so you know to do a live review then to find out what was said, but I don't know, and I can't wait to see the episode where they show this piece of gear off. His last piece was a hand-held version of his, dang it I can't remember the name. It's a software program modified off of the live-action capture that Hollywood uses for like Smaug and Gollum. This program that Bill developed can "see" ghosts in the room. The hand-held version caught something crawling up Billy Tolley's leg in New York. It was wicked awesome, and Billy could feel the spirit that was being captured.

Bill is also a skeptic, so it's fun to hear him try and explain what they're seeing. He's totally open to all of this and he's just fun to listen to as well. I love it when he's on an episode.

Location where you think they should redo a lockdown

You know, I have been thinking and thinking about this one and I still don't have a bloody answer. There are so many locations that have wonderful haunted history and they got kick-ass evidence there. There are places where I wish they had more time to show what all they got, knowing they pick the best for the show, but I don't know if that's the same as wanting them to go back and redo their lockdown.

I think I just have to call this one an "I don't know" because as long as they're not at Bobby Mackey's Music World, I'll watch them anywhere.

A location you think they should do a lockdown.

Well, it says nothing about difficulty in securing said location, nothing about impossibilities, so my pick is.....

Probably one of the most haunted locations in London. I've sensed some ghosts here, one of them on a rather twisty set of stone stairs and realized that dizzy spells on those stairs is not a good thing. The GAC did go here while they were in England, but it was during the day. I think a lockdown here would be WICKED.

Favorite location where Aaron has "big stepped"

Where else? I love London so much, and have been in that area. It's really nice there. :-)

Favorite opening monologue

Well, I can't find the blasted thing on YoutTube, but it's the third one they did, so at least seasons 7 and 8, maybe season 6 as well. I'd have to go and check, and I'm listening to a Japanese radio show that Hiro posted about. I think he's on next week though because I haven't heard him. Well, here he is. *grins* I wish I was there to go to the live concert. Okay, now I can go check for openings. Wow, talk about mixing up posts. Sorry, GAC.

Okay, got it. The video footage is pretty much the same on those three seasons, but Zak says different things and it's season 8 that I like the best. I'll be honest, the season 9 opening that they've just done freaks me out. First one to do that.

Best reaction to a piece of evidence and why?

There are so many possible answers for this one. I mean that seriously. All three of the guys get so excited when they're getting good evidence at the location, it's always fun to watch. Sometimes just watching for their facial expressions is fun. Especially with Aaron. *grins* He makes some of the best faces.

Top reaction though has to be Nick at Linda Vista Hospital in Los Angeles when he saw the woman standing in front of him. I really think that everyone would have pretty much the same reaction that Nick did, and that's one thing I love about these guys, they don't hide their emotions while they're on location. I just can't imagine what it's like to look up and suddenly see someone standing in front of you. From across the room, yes, I do know that one, but not as close as Nick was to this spirit. I wish they'd been able to figure out who she is and what she needed.
lexxiescott: (GAC)
Location with the worst evidence.

I don't know that it's fair to say a location has bad evidence. It's more that the location wasn't as active that night as it could have been on any other night. It's true there have been episodes where there's very little gathered, but at the same time, it's still fun to learn the history of the location, so I don't think I can come up with a place for this one.
lexxiescott: (GAC)
Location with the best evidence.

Oh, this is a hard one. There have been so many locations with so much awesome evidence. I mean, seriously, I don't know if I can pick just one. I really don't. Can I do a tie on this one? Especially if it means I can go back to bed that much faster? There's, well, okay, I guess I can get one. I just thought of this, actually.

The Goldfield Hotel.

There's the flying brick and the boards in the background when they're in there doing their documentary. There's the kick-ass EVP that Mark and Debbie got there relating to the brick. It's just like, every time they go there, they get something awesome. And sometimes scary. But it's still a wicked location.

Which piece of equipment do you believe is the least accurate and useful? Why?

The old-school EMF detector. There's just too many sources of EMF to get confirmed or useful readings consistently. Locations like Scotland and Italy, where the lockdown was isolated and without electricity, yeah, those got awesome results, but overall I think the MEL is more useful than the old-school.
lexxiescott: (GAC)
Which piece of equipment do you believe is the most accurate and useful? Why?

It's sort of a pair, but the Ovilus II and the PX. I didn't realize until I read Nick's book that these are both Bill Chappell devices, so that's wicked in and of itself. Bill comes up with some awesome things. :-) These also gave me a bit of a hint that Zak and I are close into the same age because, when I first heard about the Ovillus, I said it was like a Speak 'n Spell (which my brother and I both loved). Zak describes one of these as a spirit Speak 'n Spell.

Anyway, to the why part of the question. I like how easy they are to understand when the spirits are using them. I really like the screen on the PX device that shows the word that the spirits just said. I think it adds to the accuracy of what's going on, and can help bring up other questions to ask at that location.

Your favorite member of the GAC and why.

Aaron. :-) Hands down favorite of the GAC. When I started watching the show, he's the one I found it easiest to identify and connect with, if that makes sense. I really do feel for him, being bait and sent into some places alone, but he handles it really well. You can also tell how passionate he is about what he does, not just the ghost investigation, but filming and taking pictures. He's also a sweetheart, that's obvious from his web page and the money/toys he's raised/bought for charities. That's just awesome.

Funniest moment in each each season

Okay, these are things that made me laugh. I don't know if they would make everyone laugh, but you all know that my sense of humor is a bit warped. It seems like more of the funny things come over the vlogs than do over the episodes, but the ones I've picked out have at least one thing that made me laugh. The things aren't always in a lockdown either, most of the time it's from when they're out walking around and talking with people. Also, I haven't seen some of these in a while, so my memory is a little sketchy. I'm sure there are funnier moments I'm forgetting about.

I'm going to cut this because it's long.

Funniest video of Aaron's vlogs.

Okay, again, I haven't seen all the vlogs. I don't think I'm even close to having seen all the vlogs. There are several I like to go and watch when I'm having a bad day, trying to wake up, or taking a break from writing though. Kell's Irish Pub is one of them. Cookie Man is another. The Cookie Man always makes me giggle. Probably because Nick and Aaron are so giggly in the thing. The hunt for Zak in the "silent hotel" is pretty random, but funny. Zak and the milkshake, even if I really don't get that one.

The one I always like to watch though is the Salem Witch House dinner party. Nick and Zak are just so funny in that one, and Aaron always makes me laugh. "People who hunt together share together. Give me some." I don't know that I have one favorite line from it, but I do love when Zak's backing out of the room and, just before he closes the door, Nick says "this is our house. You're our guest. You don't just interrupt our dinner party."

That's the link to the video. :)

Funniest quote from Aaron's vlogs?

I haven't seen all the vlogs, but this is my favorite from the ones I have seen.

"If I was doople then I'd have doubles of the dooples."  (Nick)

The look on Zak's face after Nick says this. *giggles*

It comes from this conversation.

Nick: Maybe it's my doopleganger from Waverly Hill.
Zak: Dopleganger.
Nick: I like dooplegangers. They're funnier than doplegangers.
Aaron: They're the new kind.
Nick: What about you? You're the doplegangers. But if I was doople then I'd have doubles of the dooples.
